Building the Kingdom, one heart at a time
Kingdom Co. unites disciples in service to Christ and His Church — accompanying men through parish ministry and daily life as they grow into authentic Christian fathers, husbands, and builders of God's Kingdom.

Learn more ↓Forged in the Fire
Forged in the Fire Groups are the catalyst of Kingdom Co. — the place where a man moves from seeking to answering the call of discipleship as an adopted son of the King of Kings, claimed in his baptism. It's not a Bible study and it's not a social hour. It's the room where a man is finally known, and finally called higher.
What It Looks Like
- 6–8 men per group
- Meets weekly or biweekly for 90 minutes
- Scripture, prayer, and real accountability — no agenda beyond the truth
- Led by a trained facilitator, not just a discussion leader
- An 8–12 session series, or season, feeding into an ongoing cycle — built to multiply into new groups and develop future Master Builders
The Theological Heart
- Baptism doesn't just wash away sin — it adopts. "You received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry, 'Abba, Father'" (Romans 8:15).
- Forged in the Fire exists to help a man live like he believes that — not performing faith on Sunday, but walking each day as a son who's been claimed.
- The group is where "seeking" becomes "answering" — where a man stops circling the call of discipleship and starts responding to it, in the company of brothers who hold him to it.
Leader Masterclass
Before a man leads a Forged in the Fire group, he's formed to lead one. A 3-session virtual masterclass, paired with a live coaching session, built on Kingdom Co.'s core pillars — not a manual to read, but a way of leading to grow into.
Launching Well
The foundations of brotherhood — shared learning, fellowship, prayer, and mission — plus a real plan for inviting men in and leading past the fear of starting.
Leading the Room
The weekly rhythm that works, and the art of asking questions that move a man from hearing the truth to living it.
Multiplying the Mission
How one group becomes a movement — sustaining momentum, avoiding common pitfalls, and sending men out to lead groups of their own.
Master Builder
Master Builder is one man handing down to another what he was first given — the wisdom of God the Father, passed generation to generation. It's not a class or a curriculum. It's a mentor and a mentee, paired directly, walking the road the Church Fathers themselves mapped out for what it means to be a father, not just to become one.
What It Looks Like
- One mentor, one mentee — paired directly, never a group
- An ongoing relationship, not a fixed program with an end date
- Formation in personal discipline — spiritual, physical, and mental
- Guidance on loving his wife first — before parenting, before ministry, before mission
- Practical rhythms for forming children in the faith at home
The Theological Heart
- Fatherhood isn't chosen — it's inherited, then handed down. A man gives what he was first given.
- Grounded in the witness of the Church Fathers, who framed fatherhood as a duty rooted in the Fatherhood of God Himself.
- "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the Church and gave himself up for her" (Ephesians 5:25) — spousal love as the first act of fatherhood, before the family is formed at all.
- The order of the man becomes the order of the home — spiritual, physical, and mental discipline in the father takes root in the family he leads.
Retreats & Workshops
A man rarely changes course in the middle of an ordinary week. He changes it on the mountain — then has to come down and live it. Kingdom Co. recommends a quarterly rhythm of retreats and workshops as the standard to build toward: deliberate time set apart from routine to be formed, refocused, and sent back out ready to lead.
Two Ways to Run It
- Run your own — Kingdom Co. supplies the full toolkit: schedule, talk outlines, small group guides, and activities, so any parish can lead its own retreat or workshop
- Bring Kingdom Co. in — Nick Johnson and the Kingdom Co. team lead a virtual or in-person retreat or workshop on a specific topic, tailored to your parish or men's group
Built for the Rhythm
- Recommended cadence: quarterly — enough to matter, not so often it becomes routine
- Each retreat or workshop centers on one focused topic, drawn from Kingdom Co.'s core pillars
- Designed to feed directly into Band of Brothers and Master Builder — the retreat is the mountain; the groups are where the descent gets lived out daily
Kingdom Builders Podcast
Kingdom Builders is getting real with real fathers — the stories, the struggles, the triumphs, and the fears of being a dad today. No polish, no performance. Just the Holy Spirit let loose through authentic witness — from the men of Kingdom Co. and guests out on mission for Christ and His Catholic Church.
What It Sounds Like
- Real conversations with real fathers — the wins and the wounds, unfiltered
- Guests include men of Kingdom Co. and others out in the mission field for Christ and His Church
- Monthly to start, with a vision to grow
- Meets men where they already are — in the truck, on the commute — not one more thing to add to the calendar
The Heart Behind It
- Testimony moves people the way argument alone can't — "they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony" (Revelation 12:11)
- Authentic witness over performance, every time — the goal is truth, not polish
- Every episode is a seed, planted in the ordinary moments of a man's day
